Message in a Cassette is a hands-on activity that invites participants to preserve their feelings through cassette tapes. Participants can decorate their own cassette J-Card with Photobooth photos, record a heartfelt message for someone special or for themselves, and listen back to their recording. The activity also includes a listening corner featuring selected cassette works by artists, with Miko and Wesley joining the space for sharing and conversations about the warmth of analog sound, The event will be held at the True x Such A Small World venue on June 13-14, 2026.

Details

The activity consists of 3 stations:

Station 1: Cassette Cover Decoration (30 minutes)
Participants will decorate their cassette J-Card using photos taken from the Photobooth.

Station 2: Voice Recording (10–15 minutes)
Participants will record their heartfelt message onto a blank cassette tape — either a message for someone special or a message to themselves.

Station 3: Tape Sound Check and Miko Listening Session
A self-check listening corner will be available for participants to review their recorded tape. There will also be selected cassette works by artists for participants to listen to, together with Miko and Wesley, along with an open space for sharing and conversations about playback sound.
